Tony Tumlirsch has been active in the field of intellectual property since 2018. At Hertin & Partner, his focus lies on analyzing invention disclosures and patent searches, drafting patent applications, and supporting clients in national and international filing procedures.
Thanks to his expertise in biotechnology, immunology, and medical technology, Mr. Tumlirsch also assists the partners at Hertin with freedom-to-operate (FTO) projects.
Biography
Tony Tumlirsch studied biochemistry at the University of Greifswald, specializing in immunology and enzyme catalysis. He subsequently earned his doctorate at the University of Stuttgart, focusing on the phosphate metabolism of microorganisms. In addition, he completed a supplementary qualification in intellectual property for scientists and engineers at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences.
Prior to joining Hertin & Partner, Mr. Tumlirsch gained extensive experience in patent research at Serviva GmbH, focusing on chemistry, biotechnology, and medical technology. There, he supported industrial clients with novelty, opposition, and FTO searches, and assisted in the strategic management of their patent portfolios.
By combining his scientific background with practical experience in patent law, Mr. Tumlirsch provides Hertin & Partner’s clients with optimal support in protecting their innovations.
