Maria Antonietta Carillo has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2018 as Technical Expert. At Hertin & Partner, she uses her scientific expertise to support partners in evaluating invention disclosures, drafting patent applications, developing filing strategies, managing international patent litigation, and defending and enforcing intellectual property rights.

Her expertise includes molecular biology, biotechnology, vaccine development, and biochemistry. She actively supports clients and partners in defending and enforcing their intellectual property rights.

Biography

After completing her studies in biotechnology and genomic biotechnology at La Sapienza University in Rome, Maria Antonietta Carillo earned her Ph.D. in biochemistry at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam.

Her doctoral research focused on specific bacterial proteins that form organized structures. As a postdoctoral researcher, she specialized in the semisynthesis of anchored proteins to support vaccine research.

Maria Antonietta Carillo combines scientific knowledge with technical expertise to strategically support clients in protecting their intellectual property.
