Biography

Hermann-Josef Omsels comes from the left bank of the Lower Rhine. He studied in Würzburg, Münster and Berlin (FU). He has been working as a lawyer at Hertin & Partner since 1990. His doctorate at the Humboldt University was dedicated to the subject of geographical indications.

Attorney Omsels is admitted to practice before all German courts except the Federal Supreme Court in civil matters. He is also authorized to appear before the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the German Federal Patent Court (BPatG), the European Union Intellectual Property Office in Alicante (EUIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
