Dr. Paul Hertin has been praised as one of the leading specialists in Copyright Law by the JUVE Handbook of German Lawyers and has been repeatedly recommended as an expert in Intellectual Property Law by The LEGAL 500.
Since 1973, he has taught Copyright Law at the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste/UdK), and was granted the title of Honorary Professor there in 1989. He has also taught at the Film & Television Academy "Konrad Wolf" (Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen/HFF) in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
Dr. Hertin is the Chairman of the Committee of German Specialist Lawyers (Fachanwälte) for Information Technology Law of the Berlin Law Society (Anwaltskammer Berlin), a member of the Panel of Experts for Copyright and Publishing Law of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (Deutsche Vereinigung für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht/GRUR) and is a member of the Committee for Intellectual Property of the German Bar Association (Deutscher Anwaltsverein/DAV).
He is the author and/or publisher of many leading legal publications and commentaries. Paul Hertin studied Law at the Universities of Freiburg, Innsbruck and Munster and received his Doctor Juris (PhD) in 1969 from the Wilhelms University in Munster, Germany.
